The only dog food that my dog tolerates.
The food is helping our girl do well and not have any further pancreatitis episodes thus far.
My dog is allergic to several animal proteins. I cannot stand the ingredients in her prescription food. I was having trouble keeping weight on my dog with that food. (No wonder - as the first ingredient is corn!) I absolutely love this food. She is still transitioning from her old food - but I suspect I'll be able to get her onto Square Pet 100% soon! SO glad I found you!
We receive our orders very quickly. We’ve not had any issues with any orders and the best part is that Abbie loves her VFS Low Fat Formula canned and dry food.
My little diabetic boy seems to be doing good on this food. Not sure if he’s extremely crazy about the fish smell, but he still eats it. I mix it with a little chicken. The last bag I got looked totally different than this bag. The bag prior to this one had a bunch of scale or bone looking pieces in them. This bag is flatter square pieces where the other bag was more fuller square pieces. Not sure if they’re supposed to contain scales or bones in the food.. He’s prone to pancreatitis so this is a low fat option that is good for him.
VFS Ideal Digestion has brought our 10year-old German Shepherd Dog's GI system back in order with well formed stools and regular bowel movements. For whatever reason, after being on a different high-quality, cold processed kibble for many years and supplemented by freeze dried fruits & veggies and ground sprouted seeds with live probiotics & enzymes, he began having loose stools and eventually, diarrhea and weight loss. After a full lab workup at the vet, home cooked ground turkey and rice helped, but didn't solve things. We reluctantly, but dutifully, followed the veterinarian's prescribed recommendation of Purina's Pro Plan Veterinary Diet EN Gastroenteric Low Fat kibble even though the ingredient list looked awful to us. Our dog did worse on that diet than he fared with the home cooked diet, which wasn't recommended for long-term feeding due to it lacking certain nutrients, vitamins and minerals. A worker at the local pet store recommended VFS when I called around looking for the Purina kibble, so we transitioned from it to VFS and never looked back. We still add the ground sprouted seeds, but no more freeze dried fruits & veggies and all is well! Thank you, VFS!
Only been feeding it for a week, but so far so good! They are both eating it with no issues!
My very picky cat really likes this product. It makes life so much easier.
My dog loves these, he has to have low fat and have 3 different treats I give him- he always eats this one first.
My dog has had pancreatitis so she needs to be on a low fat diet. She us also a picky eater. She loves this food and is doing very well on it.
One concern is the white rice ingredient, it is reportedly inflammatory. Which is something we don’t need, especially since we have a history of pancreatitis. And an enlarged prostate . He is eating the food well after soaking in spring water.

Did not clear up digestive problems or diarrhea even though it was introduced over a 15 day period. Only the kibble worked.

This food has been a game changer for my service dog who was diagnosed with elevated creatinine levels & her SDMA, an early kidney indicator, was also elevated. With diet changes, including this food, her levels are now close to normal!

Really wanted to like this but the consistency is so hard I can barely scoop out of the can.
My Schnoodle that has pancreatitis needed low fat food and this is perfect for her. Plus it has no chicken.
We found this food at a boutique pet store in Brenham, TX. So far, we love it and so our young dauchshunds. We would love to hear what other foods from your company you might recommend to us in the future.
